The Patriots had a disappointing loss to the RMA Yellow Jackets Thursday in Front Royal. The Yellow Jackiets got on the scoreboard first at the 11th minute when they were able to score off a corner kick. The Patriots rallied back, however, at the 40th minute when Ethan McGann scored the equalizer. SVCA won a free kick 25 yards out. Junior Lee Runion rifled a shot that the RMA goalie was unable to hang on to. Teammate Ethan McGann followed the play and was able to score off the rebound. The Patriots were unable to go into the half with a tie, however, as the Yellow Jackets scored their second just before the half ended making it 2-1.

The Patriots worked came out with more intensity in the second half and scored the equalizer at the 59th minute off the head of Defender John Bell. Lee Runion played a well-driven ball across the box off a corner kick. Junior John Bell struck the ball with power and precision giving the RMA goalkeeper no chance of making the save. Once again, the Patriots allowed the Yellow Jackets to score quickly after giving up 2 goals in just 2 minutes of play making the final score 4-2.

The Patriots will look to return to form Friday when they travel to Fredericksburg Christian to take on a skilled Eagles team.
